How Reading Strategies Help

I personally use reading strategies all the time in my reading, it help me to understand the book better. Like when i reading Stanley description of Camp green lake, this is when i use my visualization the setting that the character describe. Visualization skill is like when you watching a movie but in your mind. We can use other skill like inference. The Warden in Holes give Mr.Sir a scar in face for something that is not even worth it and you can now make an inference that the Warden is not a friendly person.

To use reading strategies while reading will make the book more fun and exciting because it in our mind, to write down what i think of my reading strategies can be very helpful for me but it sometime make the book boring to read. For example: Zero is Stanley's best friend and Zero is on a runaway to the middle of no where, i will use my prediction skill that Stanley going to bring Zero back because they are best friend. Then, i have to write it down to help me understand what going on in the book but when it come to writing my ideas just blind the right way that i should write my ideas down. That particular moment is the excitement that i have for the suddenly been turn down because i have to write something down but using reading strategies is a useful tools for me ( while reading ).

Like Prediction for example is another great strategies, I used every minute i read my book. I can predict that Stanley will face the Yellow spotted lizard again in the story because the guy always warn Stanley about the Yellow spotted lizard. I can also use my connection skill too, like when i was a kid my dad always warn me about a snake that sometime get into my house and my dad actually right, i saw the same snake as he describe. I pretty much run away like a little girl but that is an example of connection, i can connect my book to my self, other book, and the world !

Midterm Independent reading project (comic)

This scene is important because if Zero didn't  throw the shoe down the bridge and hit Stanley he would never have gone to a camp for bad kids. The story could never even exist. Going to camp was a new experience for Stanley because he has to deal with things that make him mentally and physically stronger, like he has to dig a 5 feet deep and wide hole and he parent weren't there to support him.

writting reflection 4

I think what i did well in my test is that i'am good at being the third person in mine story and it seem like my weakness too. I keep doing same thing and i need to expand to my limit where i can maybe doing some other thing more like figurative language or first person etc.....
